Youth Mattering Practices for Stronger Bonds and Social Connection
November 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join this FREE workshop to dive into relational strategies that foster youth mattering. Experiencing mattering is linked with a significantly lower risk of considering suicide, substance use, and improved lifelong health outcomes. This work begins in early childhood education. Integrating discussion questions, participants will have an opportunity to learn the key ingredients of mattering and to practice mattering strategies with one another that they can bring to their work in early childhood education, caregiving, and community building.
Designed for early childhood educators and those serving youth ages 0-8, this event is open to caregivers and community members in the RSU57 region interested in learning how they can build the resilience of children and themselves as caring adults. Credit Hours provided.
RSU 57 will provide pizza, cookies, water, and coffee/tea for those interested. Please reach out to theodoredalton@rsu57.org if childcare is a barrier.
